500m Salute 2 The Troops

Fools Fest Sprints salutes the memory and service of our troops. This Memorial Day weekend, we will race 500m with everything we've got in honor of those who gave everything they had and made the ultimate sacrifice. This will be a Triple Crown event.
Triple Crown?
Racers are invited to compete in one, two, or three 500m races. Do one, do two, do all three for the Triple Crown. Each of the three 500m intervals will have a 5-minute rest in between. Claim victory in one, two, or all three 500m races!
When you open the ErgZone app, you will see three separate Crown competitions.
All three crown events start at 9 am CDT. Select the crown competition you wish to compete in based on how many 500m intervals you wish to do. Once you select a competition, that is your event. You cannot do all three competitions since they all start at 9 am CDT, so choose the one event you want to participate in!
When you open the ErgZone app, you will see three separate Crown competitions. Select the one competition you wish to join:
Single Crown 👑 – one 500m interval
Double Crown 👑 👑– two 500m intervals
Triple Crown 👑 👑 👑– three 500m intervals
This event is a fundraiser for the DAV (Disabled American Veterans) Charitable Service Trust, which receives a 100% 4-star rating on Charity Navigator. 10% of your entry fee will be donated. The Erg Rats are proud to lead the charge and encourage you to join our indoor infantry for this worthy event.
Race results reported to Concept2 rankings.
• Full-entry racers will receive a 3" UV-protected vinyl Erg Rats Memorial race decal, and a social media share image of their race finish.
This virtual race will be conducted ONLINE using the ERGZONE app.
The app is free to download in your mobile app store.
This is a Metron Maximus required race.

Full-entry racers will receive an Erg Rats Memorial UV-protected decal.

RACERS IN OTHER TIME ZONES may compete at their local time on Sunday, May 25 at 9 am, but they MUST submit their results within 24 hours after completing the event.
If you are in a time zone ahead of us on the clock in Chicago, you must wait until we race before you can submit your result on the ErgZone app. The race will be locked until we go.
COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? You can still compete if your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor. You cannot participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually on the ErgZone app with a screenshot of your monitor so we can verify your results.
Manual Submissions must be entered within 24 hours of Sunday, May 25, and have the correct time per your location to be counted in the official rankings and posted on our website.
Make sure the date on your monitor is correct!
