21,097 meters? Are you serious?!

This one is for those who can’t get enough time in the saddle. The Heaven Help Us and Heaven Heard Us Half Marathon events will convince you one way or the other if distance rowing is your jam.

Two options to complete the half marathon distance:

1. The Heaven Help Us Half Marathon–RACE

A competitive race, completed in one sitting with a controlled race start at 8 am CST. This is a race. The countdown clock will start at 7:59 am, one minute before go time.

2. The Heaven Heard Us Half Marathon

Rowers have 48 hours to complete 21,097 meters broken into four 5K intervals and one 1,097m interval. This event will be UNLOCKED at 7:59 am CST. Since this option is not a race, rowers choosing this version can start at 8 am CST or any time thereafter. Remember, once you log your first 5K, you only get 48 hours to complete all 21,097 meters! The countdown clock starts when you do.

There is no correct answer for which event you choose! The choice is entirely yours. The only thing to be aware of is that if you select the Heaven Heard Us option, it will NOT count for a ranked distance in the Concept2 logbook.
To be ranked in the C2 logbook, you MUST choose the Heaven Help Us–RACE.

• Full-entry racers for both events will receive a 3" UV-protected vinyl Heaven Help Us Half race decal and a social media share image.

This virtual race will be conducted ONLINE using ERGZONE.
The app is free to download in your mobile app store.

Age Divisions

  • SGGM = Super Great Grand Master > 70

  • GGM = Great Grand Master > 60

  • GM = Grand Master – 50-60

  • M = Master – 27-49

  • O = Open – 20-26

  • JR = Junior – 0-19

Weight Categories

  • Lightweight Women: <= 135lbs (61.5kg)

  • Heavyweight Women: > 135 lbs (61.6kg)

  • Lightweight Men <= 165lbs (75kg)

  • Heavyweight Men > 165lbs (75kg)

  • PR2

  • PR3

RACERS IN OTHER TIME ZONES have the entire month of May to submit their times on Ergzone. The deadline to submit scores for the Crazy In Love Erg Marathon–RACE and Heaven Help Us Half Marathon–RACE is May 31, 2026. This allows you to complete both the half and full marathon distances any time within the month if you are a distance warrior.

COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? You can still compete if your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor. You cannot participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually and submit a screenshot of your monitor on the ErgZone app so we can verify your event.

  • Manual Submissions must be entered on ErgZone by May 31, 2026, to be counted in the official rankings and posted on our website.

  • Please check the date on your monitor to ensure its accuracy.
