This one is for those who can’t get enough time in the saddle. The Heaven Help Us Half Marathon is a virtual erg race that will convince you one way or the other if distance rowing is your jam. If you’re on the quest for the Metron Maximus, you'll need to complete this event, so add it to your training calendar now!

Race results reported to Concept2 rankings.

• Full-entry racers will receive a 3" UV-protected vinyl Heaven Help Us Half race decal and a social media share image of their race finish.

This virtual race will be conducted ONLINE using ERGZONE.
The app is free to download in your mobile app store.

This is a Metron Maximus required race.

• All race results reported to Concept2 rankings.

For those who want to earn their half marathon race decal but know they can't achieve it in one shot!

We will complete four 5,000m rows and one 1,097m row in 48 hours.

The Heaven Heard Us Half starts at 8 am CST, Sunday, January 26.

  • The 2-day countdown to complete your 21,097 meters starts at 8 am on the 26th.

  • Log all your 5K rows on ErgZone under this version of the event.

  • If you row offline, take screenshots of each 5K you complete. Manually enter each completed 5K under the workout on ErgZone. Save your monitor pics.

    • Repeating the Heaven Heard Us workout posted on ErgZone will log your meters in our results, and you won't have to email any pics.

    • If you are unable to enter your completed 5Ks manually on the app, once you have achieved 21,1097 meters, email us all of your screens at info@foolsfestsprints.com. We will verify your result.

  • Whether you compete online or offline, take pictures of your screens to record your combined meters over two days. (Good insurance if there is a tech issue.)

Good luck if you race against others virtually on race day or choose to do this version of the Half Marathon instead!

  • SGGM = Super Great Grand Master > 70

  • GGM = Great Grand Master > 60

  • GM = Grand Master – 50-60

  • M = Master – 27-49

  • O = Open – 20-26

  • JR = Junior – 0-19

Weight Categories

  • Lightweight Women: <= 135lbs (61.5kg)

  • Heavyweight Women: > 135 lbs (61.6kg)

  • Lightweight Men <= 165lbs (75kg)

  • Heavyweight Men > 165lbs (75kg)

RACERS IN OTHER TIME ZONES may compete at their local time on Sunday, January 26 at 8 am, but they MUST submit their results within 24 hours of completing the event at their local time.

COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? You can still compete if your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor. You cannot participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually on the ErgZone app with a screenshot of your monitor so we can verify your results.

  • Manual Submissions must be entered within 24 hours of Sunday, October 15, to be counted in the official rankings and be posted on our website.

  • Make sure the date on your monitor is correct!
