The workout is up and open on Ergzone. Go for it! Anyone who completes the Mutant Ninja Rower OR the Muted Mutant Ninja will receive our official race decal. Make sure you fill out our rower contact form when you register, OR DO IT NOW, and stay in the loop for all our races and events!

The 100K is included as one of the distance races in the Metron Maximus for those OCD peeps compelled to complete EVERY RANKED DISTANCE in the Concept2 logbook to feel legit; mere mortals should probably not attempt this event...

BUT If you are a Mutant Ninja Rower with palms made of Teflon, a hind end made of Kevlar, quads cut like diamonds, and a hip hinge made of steel (and oiled every 2,000 miles), then this distance is in your wheelhouse! Go for it! May the force curve be with you!

This virtual race will be conducted ONLINE using the ERGZONE app.
The app is free to download in your mobile app store.

Racers competing in the Mutant Ninja Rower 100K have until midnight on Saturday, May 31, 2025, to submit their times with a screenshot on the ErgZone app. The workout is up and open on Ergzone. Go for it at any time! If you aren’t entered in the Maximus Quest, there is no submission deadline.

This event is NOT required for the Maximus; it is extra credit.

The Muted Mutant Ninja!

Metron Maximus Quest racers, this is an alternative route to 100,000m.

Few of us have the moxy to sit down and erg 100K in one shot. For those that do, the Mutant Ninja Rower 100K is published and available for you to attack anytime on any day. For the rest of the mere mortals with superhero strength and the determination of hungry rats, here is another route to achieving your 100K race decal:

The Muted Mutant Ninja

For this version of the event, you will complete twenty 5K rows over 10 days (20x5000m in 10 days).

  • Whichever day you log your first 5K, that is the start of your 10-day countdown to complete your 100K.

  • Keep re-rowing the 5K Muted Mutant workout on ErgZone. Row as many 5Ks as you have in you per session.

  • Log all 5K rows under The Muted Mutant Ninja workout on ErgZone, so we know you are doing them. We can’t see your individual pages. Submit under this workout!

  • If you row offline, take screenshots of each 5K you complete. Manually enter each completed 5K under the workout on ErgZone. Save your monitor pics.

    • Repeating The Muted Mutant Ninja workout posted on ErgZone will log your meters in our results, and you won't have to email us any pics.

    • If you are unable to enter your completed 5Ks manually on the app, once you have achieved 100K, email us all of your screens at info@foolsfestsprints.com. We will verify your result.

  • The Muted Mutant 100K will earn your race decal but will not be counted in the Concept2 logbook rankings. You must do the Mutant Ninja Rower 100K to be ranked.

  • Whether you compete online or offline, be safe and take pictures of your screens to record your combined meters in 10 days. (Good insurance if there is a tech issue.)

Our Mutant Ninja Rower decal is too awesome not to earn! We want people to succeed.

  • SGGM = Super Great Grand Master > 70

  • GGM = Great Grand Master > 60

  • GM = Grand Master – 50-60

  • M = Master – 27-49

  • O = Open – 20-26

  • JR = Junior – 0-19

  • Lightweight Women: <= 135lbs (61.5kg)

  • Heavyweight Women: > 135 lbs (61.6kg)

  • Lightweight Men <= 165lbs (75kg)

  • Heavyweight Men > 165lbs (75kg)

COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? If your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor, you can still compete. You will not be able to participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually on the ErgZone app with a screenshot of your monitor so we can verify your results.

  • Mutant Ninja Rower Submissions must be entered by midnight on Saturday, May 31, 2025, to be counted in the official rankings and posted on our website.
