Bandits! We’ve already raced this one live on ErgZone. However, if you are entered in the Metron Maximus Quest, you still have 30 days post-official our race start to manually submit your 100m time on the ErgZone app to remain eligible for the Maximus Quest rankings and prizes. Speed demons unite in this 100m throwdown. Ride that erg like you stole it and get to the finish as fast as you can. This race is required for the Metron Maximus Quest. We’re making it a free event so all the jailbirds can break free with us!

This virtual race will be conducted ONLINE using ERGZONE.

Hello, Speed Demons!

Are you ready to ride it like you stole it for 100 blazing meters?

If you are new to racing on the ErgZone app, click the ‘Controlled Start on ErgZone’ button below. It has diagrams and words to get you oriented to the start procedure.

Key Message: Once you connect your monitor to the race on the ErgZone app, you must STOP rowing. Do all your prep and warm-up first before you connect to the race.

If you try to row once connected, you will get a “false start” message, and your monitor will need to reconfigure itself to reconnect you to the race. You will miss the event if the reconfigure happens too close to the start time.

If you do miss the start for any reason, disconnect from the race, set up your monitor for 100 meters, row it independently offline, snap a screenshot with your phone when finished, and then enter your score manually under the Ride It Like You Stole It 100m on the ErgZoen app.

The countdown clock will begin at 8:59 a.m. CDT, one minute before the official race starts at 9 a.m. CDT. It is imperative that you be seated and still during this time.

Age Divisions

  • SGGM = Super Great Grand Master > 70

  • GGM = Great Grand Master > 60

  • GM = Grand Master – 50-60

  • M = Master – 27-49

  • O = Open – 20-26

  • JR = Junior – 0-19

Weight Categories

  • Lightweight Women: <= 135lbs (61.5kg)

  • Heavyweight Women: > 135 lbs (61.6kg)

  • Lightweight Men <= 165lbs (75kg)

  • Heavyweight Men > 165lbs (75kg)

Attention Racers! If you are competing in a different time zone or on an older model erg, offline independently, you must submit your results on the ErgZone app after you race.

The submission window will open after the live virtual event in Chicago is completed. Once we finish racing here in Chicago, the event will be unlocked on the app for you to submit your score and screenshot of your monitor.

The submission window will remain open for 24 hours after the offical race date and start time.

COMPETING ON AN OLDER MODEL ERG? You can still compete if your erg doesn't have a PM5 monitor. You cannot participate in live racing, but your score will count in the official results and rankings. Just enter your race time manually on the ErgZone app with a screenshot of your monitor so we can verify your results.
